It’s already December, and as we approach the end of the year, it’s the perfect moment to look back. To give our customers and partners a glimpse behind the scenes, we’ve collected some striking statistics and interesting highlights from 2025!

Longest distance of the year

For one of our clients, we managed an exceptionally long journey: a 2018 Land Rover Evoque collected in Alicante (Spain) and shipped via Rotterdam to Sydney.
Total: ±19,000 km

  • approx. 2,000 km by road
  • approx. 17,000 km by sea

A great example of how we support customers worldwide — even when “home” is literally on the other side of the world.

Oldest car of 2025

The oldest vehicle we handled this year was a 1910 Ford Model A. We collected it in Kewaskum, Wisconsin (53040) and delivered it to Tilburg — a beautiful piece of automotive history still crossing oceans more than a century after it was built.

Most valuable car of the year

The most exclusive vehicle we transported was a Ferrari SP3 (2025) with a customs value of over €4.5 million. A remarkable project, and exactly the type of high-end logistics customers rely on us for.

Most popular port routes

  1. New York → Rotterdam
  2. Savannah → Rotterdam
  3. Houston → Rotterdam
  4. Montreal → Rotterdam
  5. Jebel Ali → Rotterdam

Where did our customers come from?

In 2025, we welcomed customers from 41 different countries. The largest groups came from:

  • Europe: Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Switzerland, France, Italy
  • North America: United States, Canada
  • Middle East: UAE, Qatar
  • Other: United Kingdom, South Africa

A great reflection of how international our services have become.

Largest project (non-automotive)

For one of our industrial clients in the construction sector, we managed a large-scale project: 40 excavators, fully handled door-to-door. From the factory in Qingdao (China) to the final destination in Southern Germany — including ocean freight, handling, customs, pre-carriage and on-carriage. A great example of the scale and complexity we increasingly operate in.

That concludes our 2025 Wrapped Up

This was just a small selection of the exciting projects we’ve completed so far in 2025. Didn’t see your route, shipment type or vehicle here? No worries — we’re happy to assist.

Our course towards 2026

The international vehicle logistics market is developing rapidly. We see strong growth in demand from large global companies trading vehicles worldwide — from new importers of emerging Far Eastern/Chinese brands to organisations with complex project shipments and increasing volumes.

SCL is fully prepared for this shift. Over the past period, we have invested in our new customer portal, expanded our warehouse and storage capacity, and strengthened our team with new specialists. This ensures we can continue scaling and supporting new customers at the quality level they expect from us.
