Jetour import

Drive around Dubai for a day and you will see them everywhere: boxy SUVs with a spare wheel on the tailgate, a bold grille and a price tag that rattled the competition. That is the Jetour T2, which quickly became one of the most searched for cars in the Emirates. Jetour is the SUV brand of Chery, China's biggest car exporter, and sold around 560,000 cars in 2024. In Europe, the brand started in Poland and aims to cover most of the continent by 2027. Until then, most European countries have no Jetour dealer at all. If you want one now, Jetour import is the way to get it. SCL Rotterdam brings your Jetour from within Europe or from the Emirates and handles everything up to registration. Before you commit, we tell you honestly which route makes most sense.

Why import a Jetour?

Jetour builds SUVs that look tough and back it up. The T2 and G700 have four wheel drive, plenty of ground clearance and a look closer to a Land Cruiser or Defender than to a typical family SUV. Inside you will find large screens, a panoramic roof and driver assistance usually reserved for more expensive cars.

The biggest argument is value. In the Emirates, a T2 starts at 129,000 dirham and comes with more standard equipment than many Japanese and Korean rivals. And in most of Europe, you will be driving something almost nobody has seen yet.

Popular Jetour models to import

Jetour T2

The model that made Jetour famous. A boxy five seat SUV with four wheel drive and a spare wheel on the tailgate. Available with a 2.0 turbo petrol engine or as a plug in hybrid. In the Emirates from 129,000 dirham.

Jetour G700

The flagship of Jetour's luxury off road line. A seven seat plug in hybrid with four wheel drive and a claimed system output of around 900 horsepower. In the Emirates it costs between 169,000 and 230,000 dirham.

Jetour T1

The T2's smaller sibling, with the same rugged look and a 2.0 turbo. In the Emirates from 109,000 dirham.

Jetour Dashing and X70 Plus

The brand's more conventional SUVs, more family car than off roader. Like the T2, they are already sold officially in Poland.

Two routes: inside or outside Europe

From within the EU

Jetour sells the Dashing, X70 Plus and T2 officially in Poland. A car with European type approval needs no customs clearance or conversion and can be registered in any EU country with relatively little paperwork. We collect it and deliver it by road. For these models, this is usually the quickest and cheapest route.

From Dubai

Want a G700, a T1 or a version not sold in Europe? Then the car usually comes from the Emirates, where Jetour sells its full range officially. It is shipped to Rotterdam, cleared through customs and prepared in our workshop before registration.

What to know before you import a Jetour

Duties and VAT

Jetour builds petrol and plug in hybrid cars, so the extra EU countervailing duty on Chinese EVs does not apply. A car from outside the EU pays the standard 10 percent import duty plus import VAT.

Warranty does not travel

In the Emirates, Jetour advertises a ten year or one million kilometre engine warranty. That warranty belongs to the local dealer and does not come with the car to Europe. A car bought in Poland does come with a European warranty.

Registration and taxes differ per country

Registration and road tax are national matters. A 2.0 turbo with four wheel drive can be expensive to register in countries that tax CO2 heavily, such as the Netherlands with its BPM, while the plug in hybrid is often much cheaper. SCL arranges Dutch and German registration in house and can advise on other European countries.

How your Jetour import works

  1. Advice first. We discuss the model, the drivetrain, the best route, your destination country and a realistic cost estimate.
  2. Purchase and inspection. We help you find a reliable car and have it inspected before you pay. Our payment service keeps the transaction safe.
  3. Transport. By road from Poland, or by container or RoRo ship from the Emirates to Rotterdam. We strongly recommend transport insurance.
  4. Customs clearance. For cars from outside the EU, we file the declaration and settle all duties and taxes correctly.
  5. Conversion and inspection. Where needed, our workshop prepares the car for European rules, ready for the inspection in your country.
  6. Registration and delivery. We arrange registration where possible and deliver your Jetour by road to your door, wherever you are in Europe.

You can follow every step in real time through our customer portal.

What does it cost to import a Jetour?

For a Jetour from Poland, you pay the purchase price, transport and registration. For a car from the Emirates, import duty, import VAT, conversion and inspection are added. The choice between petrol and plug in hybrid can make a big difference to registration taxes. Want to know where you will end up? Calculate your costs or ask us for a tailored quote.

Frequently asked questions about importing a Jetour car

Is Jetour sold in Europe?

Partly. Jetour launched in Poland and aims to cover most of Europe by 2027. Until it reaches your country, importing is the way to get one.

Is buying a Jetour in Poland easier than importing from Dubai?

Yes. A Jetour from Poland has European type approval and a European warranty, so no customs clearance or conversion is needed. For the Dashing, X70 Plus and T2 this is usually the best route. For the G700 and T1, Dubai is often the only option.

Do I pay extra import duty on a Jetour?

No. The extra EU countervailing duty only applies to fully electric cars from China. Jetour builds petrol and plug in hybrid models. A car from outside the EU pays the standard import duty plus VAT.

Does the Dubai warranty apply in Europe?

No. The well known ten year or one million kilometre warranty belongs to the dealer in the Emirates and does not travel with the car. A car bought in Poland comes with a European warranty.

Can an imported Jetour be registered in Europe?

Yes, as long as it meets European requirements. A car with European type approval is relatively easy to register. We handle Dutch and German registration in house and advise on other countries.
