For customers importing vehicles from outside Europe — such as from the United States, Canada, Japan, or Dubai — it is often necessary to adapt the vehicle to meet European regulations and standards. This may involve adjustments to lighting, software, alarm systems, or other technical requirements that apply within Europe but not in the country of origin. By handling this properly during the import process, you avoid delays at the RDW inspection and can hit the road safely and legally much sooner.

  • Certified alarm systems: For optimal vehicle security, we can install SCM-certified alarm systems that comply with the highest safety standards. Especially for non-European relocation vehicles (imported as part of household goods), this is often a requirement.
    Many Dutch insurers require an SCM-certified alarm system combined with a vehicle tracking system — particularly for higher-value cars. These systems not only improve security but also make your vehicle easier to insure.

  • Software adjustments: We can adapt your vehicle’s software to European standards, ensuring smooth functionality, updated European navigation maps, and full compatibility of your infotainment system.
    Vehicles from the US or Canada often include navigation systems limited to North America. Our specialists can convert these systems to European versions so you can navigate across Europe without issues. We can also adjust onboard computers and driver assistance systems.

  • Tow bar installation: Whether you plan to tow a caravan, trailer, or another vehicle, we can install a tow bar safely and professionally.

  • Tonneau cover installation: For pickup trucks, we provide tonneau cover installation to keep your truck bed secure and protected from the elements.
