If you import a car, motorcycle or other vehicle from non-European countries we always recommend arranging a German registration, also known as a KFZ-letter. The German registration serves as a European Type Approval for your import car and will make it easier to register the car in other European countries. The Dutch Traffic Office (RDW) will generally accept the German KFZ to quickly register your vehicle for Dutch license plates.
