The year 2024 brought its fair share of challenges for our company, but it also highlighted our focus on smart solutions, strong collaboration, and investing in the future. From identifying secure and efficient transport routes to launching our new customer portal and website, and expanding our additional services like vehicle LTSM and PDI services, we have supported our clients with confidence throughout the year.

With great enthusiasm, we now look forward to 2025—a year where we aim to excel once again in delivering tailored service to everyone, from private customers to large business partners.

Ready for 2025? So are we!

Smart Solutions in a Dynamic World

Due to geopolitical risks in the Middle East, many container ships have opted for the Cape route instead of the Suez Canal for quite some time. While this choice ensures greater safety, it also leads to longer transit times and increased costs. This impacts our customers directly, whether it’s an expat returning to the Netherlands from Dubai or an OEM shipping a large batch of new cars.

At SCL Rotterdam, we understand the importance of finding the most efficient, secure, and cost-effective routes in today’s dynamic world. Thanks to our extensive international network, we stay connected with the right partners to consistently offer the best transport options. Whether you are a private customer or a large importer, we ensure your vehicles arrive on time and under the best conditions.

The Logistics Brain Behind SCL Rotterdam

Our strength lies not just in our experience and network but also in the personal attention we give our customers. Michel, the logistics captain of our Operations Team, plays a pivotal role in this effort. With his team's extensive knowledge of the vehicle transport sector, Michel knows exactly how to turn logistical challenges into efficient solutions. Whether it’s planning alternative routes or resolving customs issues, Michel and his team are always ready to ensure smooth transport for your vehicles.

Looking Forward to 2025

2024 was a year of change and growth for our company. We are optimistic about what lies ahead in the new year. This year, we saw an increase in vehicle movements compared to previous years, and we expect the import of non-European vehicles to grow even further. Additionally, the demand for our supplementary services like vehicle homologation, LTSM, and PDI services is expected to keep rising.

Developments at SCL Rotterdam

Our goal remains to provide every client—big or small, private or corporate—with customized logistical support through a client-focused, professional approach and smart tools.

This year, we made exciting investments in our company, such as the launch of our new customer portal and a website. One major benefit of the new customer portal is the secure exchange of sensitive documents. Think of copies of vehicle documentation, passports, or driver’s licenses that SCL often requires for vehicle imports. This functionality ensures that clients can share important documents with peace of mind, knowing they’re handled securely. Another standout feature is the track-and-trace functionality, allowing clients to know exactly where their vehicles are and what stage of the process they’re in.

Another great achievement has been the certification of our technical team as LPG technicians. Looking ahead to 2025, we plan to continue investing in our team and hope to expand it further—check out our vacancies!
